How to create disk images?

OK, help me out here.....what is a disk image? A disk image is nothing more or less than a file you can load with your C64 emulator. So all the .t64 and .d64 files you download and run with your emulator are tape or disk images.

Why would I want to create these disk images by myself? Because you want to run your own, original C64 software on your PC, Amiga, Mac or whatever system. Also, you can make your C64 software available to others via the internet.

Running my own, original software? How? You must connect your old C64 disk-drive (most likely your 1541) to your PC. Furthermore, you need specific software to make a disk image. Both software & the cable to connect your disk-drive to your PC are available from:

sta.c64.org/sc.html

Also, instructions on how to use the cable and the software can be found on this site. Good luck with making disk images of your software & spread it over the web!
